Senior Academy Sports Scientist

Aston Villa Football Club are looking to appoint a new Sport Scientist to work within the Academy Sport Science and Medical department. 

The successful applicant will be an integral part of a growing sport science tea, and will help to deliver the sport science provision across all ages within the academy, with primary focus on one of our professional development phase squads, the U18s.

The Sport Science and Medical department are looking for an individual who is highly motivated and passionate about working with and developing young athletes. 

The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive scientific knowledge base with an understanding of how to apply that knowledge practically with the U18s and throughout the youth development age-groups.

Applicants must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in the field of Sport & Exercise Science and preferably have some experience of working with elite junior athletes. 

Post-graduate study and a strength and conditioning accreditation would be advantageous. 

The is a full-time role which will include working outside normal office hours, including evenings, weekends and during public holidays.

The role will primarily be based at the Aston Villa Training Ground, Bodymoor Heath, Tamworth.
