This notice applies to all applicants and candidates. Ladies First Team Physiotherapist
(Fixed Term until 31 May 2019)
(Part time, variable hours during the evenings, weekends and matchdays)
A fantastic part-time opportunity has arisen to join Aston Villa Ladies as a First Team Physiotherapist.
The role plays an integral part of the Ladies support programme with the successful candidate being the primary contact for all injured players.
Be responsible for the day to day delivery of high level injury prevention, injury rehabilitation and pitch side first aid /emergency care including the systems and infrastructure required to ensure that these processes are supported, documented and reviewed appropriately
To be present at all training sessions at Recon Training Complex and matchdays, both home and away
Give direction to the club’s strength and conditioning coach and work in conjunction with the Coaching Team in devising recovery and rehabilitation plans
To promptly communicate any important information regarding injuries of players with the First Team Manager
Liaise with designated matchday doctor where required
Liaise and support volunteer medical staff both at training and on matchdays
To ensure compliance with Aston Villa safeguarding and welfare policies and procedures
Record all injuries, treatment and relevant information on a central system as instructed by Aston Villa
Essential skills and experience required
A registered member of the Health Profession Council and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy
Possess an up to date Advanced Emergency Aid qualification (FA ATMMiF)
Demonstrate a flexible approach with a proven commitment to teamwork
Display an acute attention to detail
Possess excellent organisational skills
Knowledge of elite women’s football is desirable
Adequate Indemnity Insurance is required
Current enhanced DBS will be required
