Conor Hourihane says it's time for the Aston Villa squad to reach new heights during the forthcoming campaign.
The midfielder sat down with Club TV at our pre-season camp in Portugal, outlining his ambition to continue our push for promotion.
In order to achieve that, he believes every player needs to step up again this term, and insists a golden opportunity now lies with the young players at the club.
He said: "I still consider myself very fortunate to be at a club like this and now it's time to try again.
"The gaffer has fantastic experience, as do people like Alan Hutton and others throughout the squad.
"We've still got a great squad of players. It might not be as big as last year by the time the season gets going but now is the time for us all to step up.
"That includes the youngsters - they won't get a better chance to break into the first team. It's up to them to keep us all on our toes."
