Following the disappointment of defeat in the Play-Off Final at Wembley Stadium last month, attentions now begin to switch to a new campaign.
And there's already a host of details that we can reveal ahead of it – from fixture release dates and kit info to Season Tickets and pitch overhauls at Villa Park.
Here's a bitesize guide to what we know already ahead of the 2018/19 season...
When are fixtures released?
EFL fixture release day is Thursday 21st June 2018 – under a fortnight away.
When does the season start?
The new Sky Bet Championship season gets going between Friday 3rd and Sunday 5th August 2018.
When is Round One of the Carabao Cup?
That'll be the week commencing Monday 13th August, where we travel away to Yeovil Town.
When do the players return?
Villa players will be back at the Recon Training Complex the week commencing Monday 2nd July 2018.
What are our pre-season plans?
We've got friendlies against Telford United, Kidderminster Harriers, Walsall, West Ham United and Burton Albion already booked in from Saturday 14th July.
We'll also have a stint in Germany, with a match against Dynamo Dresden scheduled for Saturday 28th July.
Full plans will be confirmed in due course.
When is our new kit launched?
Kit adorning the logo of our new Technical Partner for the 2018/19 season, Luke 1977, will be revealed in early July.
Who is the front-of-shirt sponsor?
32Red have returned as our Principal Partner and will appear on first-team shirts for the new campaign.
Unibet are also remaining on board as Official Betting and Gaming Partner. They'll feature on all first-team trainingwear this time around.
What will the kit look like?
Creative Director Luke Roper referenced the “famous colours of claret and blue” as he agreed our innovative kit partnership in April.
Club officials have already moved to ensure the new kit will feature a darker shade of claret.
The 2018/19 kit will also feature a visible nod to William McGregor, the man who inspired the concept of league football. In 1888 – exactly 130 years ago – Villa took their place as founder members of the Football League, thanks to his vision.
When is the transfer window open?
The EFL summer transfer window is open now, and will close at 5pm on 9th August.
What about the loan window?
Clubs can still move in the loan market up until 31st August.
Who are the Championship newcomers?
We'll have matches against West Bromwich Albion, Stoke City, Swansea City, Wigan Athletic, Blackburn Rovers and Rotherham United next term.
When do Season Tickets come back on sale?
Season Tickets are available again now!
Supporters wishing to renew their current seats have until 5pm on Friday 15th June to do so.
Purchase or renew here.
How many have we sold so far?
Currently, 18,000+ Season Tickets have been snapped up for the next campaign!
What else will be new at Villa Park?
The installation of a new pitch is taking place this summer – the first complete rebuild in more than 30 years.
It’s a 10-week project in total as we already look ahead to the start of the 2018/19 campaign.
