Beautiful Brum

Birmingham has been #PartOfThePride – and we have the pictures to prove it.

We have had 45 special sites – called ‘The Loop’ – showing off our famous proud lion on digital screens across the region for the past month.

They have featured in iconic locations such as the Mailbox, the Bullring, New Street and Broad Street for two weeks.

Check out the images below that give you a snapshot of where the Mighty Villa has been seen.

Which way to Villa Park?

Villa Park has always had a special claret and blue feel – but it’s been bolstered over the past few weeks.

We have added ‘wayfinding and directional signposting’ around the ground, which has been well-received by supporters.

As well as containing positive messaging like ‘Roar with Us’ and ‘Part of the Pride’, they also include very important travel advice, informing supporters where to go.

Showing off details such as how to find places like the Holte End, the Holte Suite, the Villa Store and the Villa Ticket Office, they have been invaluable additions, especially on matchday.

The feedback we’ve received has been very positive, which has been great to see.

We are going to have a new giant flag zooming across the Holte End very soon – and you could be in it.

The popular matchday attraction, which heads across our famous stand pre-game, will start its first journey of the season in the next home clash against Norwich City.

And its design is taken from the interactive fan mosaic, which has seen our supporters uploading their pictures to be added via social media.

That in turn means that, even if you’re in Texas or Delhi or Beijing, you could have pride of place at Villa Park this coming season.

As if this wasn’t enough, the interactive fan mosaic has also been added to the huge portable flags which the ballboys wave as the players emerge from the tunnel pre-match.

On the subject of Texas, Delhi or Beijing, if you’re living abroad you’ll be able to watch Cardiff v Villa this weekend, thanks to our new AVTV Live service.

This is the first opportunity for us to offer the full game to international fans to watch as we take on the Bluebirds in the 3pm Saturday encounter.

Basically put, live video with commentary is available to international fans for all non-televised matches that are available to the club.

This latest encounter isn’t being screened so we are able to show it to our Lions abroad.

There is also live audio for everyone, wherever in the world you are.

Due to broadcast restrictions, clubs are not yet able to bring live video to the UK & Ireland audience.

But they can listen this weekend as we look for our first three points of the campaign.

You can SUBSCRIBE NOW to various formats including - a season-long pass, a monthly subscription and on a match-by-match basis.
