Analysis
Villa had to settle for a point in a dour encounter against Millwall on a chilly, frustrating afternoon at Villa Park.
Steve Bruce’s side had their chances, with sub Jack Grealish unlucky not to score when his curling 67th-minute shot from the edge of the penalty area was tipped away by keeper David Martin.
Keinan Davis, Albert Adomah had earlier fired over, while Josh Onomah’s long-range effort had taken a deflection for a corner, although Grealish’s shot was the home side’s only on-target attempt.
In contrast, Sam Johnstone was busier than he had been in any other home game this season.
The keeper made several fine saves including one from Lee Gregory when the Millwall striker looked a certain scorer.
